Terms of Service

Welcome to Tidy Peaceful Homes (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including our website at tidypeacefulhomes.com (the “Site”), in-person and virtual home organization services, and any related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Services We Provide
- In-Home Organization Sessions
- One-on-one decluttering coaching
- Personalized organization
- Support and tips for maintaining organization
- Storage solutions and product recommendations
- Surface wipe-down of the service area
- Disposal of trash generated during the session (up to one car-load)
- Donation drop-off of items gathered during the session (up to one car-load)
- Labeling of organized areas (handwritten or printed)
- Virtual 1:1 Sessions
- Virtual decluttering coaching
- Guided organization sessions via video call
- Support and tips for decluttering and organizing your space
- Support and tips for maintaining organization
2. Services We Do Not Provide
- Cleaning or sanitising such as dish washing, laundry, scrubbing, disinfecting, or stain removal
- Bulk trash disposal or bulk donation drop-off
- Assembly of Ikea furniture or other similar time-intensive items, items that require power tools, or items that require permanent installation
- Furniture installation, moving, or disposal
- Packing services
3. Pricing
Standard Rates
- In-Person Session Package options:
- $125-$375 ($62.50 an hour) for a single 2 to 6 hour session ($125 non-refundable deposit due upon booking). See section 4 for details on your deposit
- $225 ($56.25 an hour) per 4-hour session for 2 to 4 booked sessions ($225 non-refundable deposit due upon booking). See section 4
- $200 ($50 an hour) per 4-hour session for 5 or more booked sessions ($200 non-refundable deposit due upon booking). See section 4
- $875 ($43.75 an hour) for a Five Day Blitz of 4-hour sessions booked on consecutive days (full non-refundable payment due upon booking). See section 6 for full Blitz policies
- Virtual 1:1 Session Package options:
- $40 for one 1-hour session (full non-refundable payment due upon booking)
- $70-$140 ($35 an hour) for two to four 1-hour sessions (full non-refundable payment due upon booking)
- $150+ ($30 an hour) for five or more 1-hour sessions (full non-refundable payment due upon booking)
Add-On Services
- Small Storage Bins (available at session): Priced as marked, starting at $1
- Virtual Shopping Cart Assistance: $50 (non-refundable payment due up front) - We'll help you create a virtual cart of items to purchase before your scheduled session. Includes a 30-minute virtual consultation. See Section 6
- In-Store Shopping: $50 an hour, plus the cost of products (non-refundable $50 deposit due up front) - We'll shop for you and deliver items at your scheduled session. Includes a 30-minute virtual consultation. See Section 6
- Bulky or Assembled Storage Handling: $50 (non-refundable payment due up front) - For sourcing storage solutions in-store on your behalf that are heavy, oversized, or build-it-yourself storage units. This does not include pre-built furniture.
Note: Deposit covers acquisition and delivery only; it does not include assembly. If assembly is required,
it will be charged at our standard rate of $50 per hour. Assembly does not include Ikea furniture or other similar time-intensive
items, items that require power tools, or items that require permanent installation; it includes snap-together items or simple assembly only.
Assembly must take place during a scheduled
organizing session at the client’s home and will be included in the estimated completion time.
4. Booking and Payment Policies
- Travel Free: Locations more than 25 miles from 3909 Twin Pines Rd, 23703 are subject to a $50 travel fee.
- Payment Due:
- We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, Cashapp, and cards. Card payments are subject to a 3% service fee.
- In-Home Sessions: full payment for hours worked and any add-on services is due at the completion of service each day (does not apply to Five Day Blitz).
- Virtual Sessions: full payment is due at the time of booking.
- Deposits: (does not apply to Five Day Blitz, see Section 6)
- A non-refundable deposit is required to book In-Home Session packages. This deposit secures your spot, your rate, and covers any fees that may apply to your session. See section 5 for Cancellation & Rescheduling
- The deposit amount varies by package and it based on the hourly rate for that package.
- The deposit is applied to the cost of your final session of a package or the first 2 hours of your single session.
- If fees apply, they will be deducted from your deposit, and any remaining balance will still go toward your final session.
- If the deposit is used up with fees before the final session, another deposit will be required before the final session.
- Consultation Required: All new clients must complete a phone or virtual consultation and send photos of the work area(s) prior to scheduling In-Home Services.
- Scheduling:
- Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance with a start/end time within our working hours of 8am to 8pm.
- Sessions scheduled less than 24 hours in advance are subject to a $50 convenience fee, billed at booking.
- Sessions with start or end times outside the working hours of 8am to 8pm are subject to a $50 convenience fee for every hour outside the working hours, due at the end of the session
for In-Home and at booking for Virtual.
- Session Length:
- Single In-Home Sessions must be booked for a minimum of 2 hours. If you’d like to book a shorter session, please consider a Virtual Session instead.
- Multi-session In-Home packages must be booked for a minimum of 4 hours per session. If you’d like to book a shorter session, please consider a Single Session or Virtual Sessions instead.
- Sessions shortened to less than the 2-hour minimum will be billed at $125. See section 5
- Each In-Home Session can be scheduled for up to 6 hours. If you’d like more time, additional sessions can be booked separately.
- 180-day Expiration: All In-Home and Virtual Session packages must be used within 180 days of purchase. Unused sessions will expire after this period and no refunds will be issued.
- Refunds: All payments and deposits are non-refundable. This includes payments for unused sessions, completed sessions, partially used packages, and deposits for add-on services.
Please book mindfully and communicate any scheduling issues as early as possible. See section 5 for Cancellation & Rescheduling
5. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Time Adjustments (does not apply to Five Day Blitz)
- In-Home Sessions:
- Reschedules/Cancellations: One reschedule or cancellation is allowed per In-Home package if made more than 24 hours in advance. Any additional reschedules or cancellations,
or changes within 24 hours of the appointment, will result in a lost deposit. A new deposit will be required to rebook.

- Shortened Sessions: If you wish to end the session before work is complete, the full cost of the session will still be due before we leave.
- For multi-session packages:
- Regular sessions shortened below 4 hours will be billed at $62.50/hour.
- Sessions shorter than the 2-hour minimum will be billed at $125.
- If the final session of a package is shorter than 4 hours, an amount equal to the full deposit will still be applied, and unused hours will not be refunded. If the deposit does not cover the
full cost of the session, the remaining balance is due at the end of the session.
- Single sessions below the 2 hour minimum will be billed at $125.
- If the session runs over, we’ll pause and confirm whether you’d like to continue at the hourly rate.
- Virtual Sessions:
- One reschedule or cancellation is allowed per Virtual package without penalty as long as it is made more than 24 hours in advance.
- Any additional reschedules or cancellations, or changes made within 24 hours of the appointment, will result in the session being forfeited and count as a missed session.
- Payments for missed sessions are non-refundable.
6. Five Day Blitz Policies (supercedes sections 4 and 5)
The Five Day Blitz is an intensive organizing package designed to tackle multiple areas of your home in a short period. To ensure the best experience, please review the following policies specific to this package:
- Full payment is due upon booking and is non-refundable.
- Sessions must be booked on five consecutive days.
- Each session is 4 hours and includes a 15-minute break at the 2-hour mark. Sessions may extend up to 6 hours; additional time is billed at $43.75/hour, due at the end of the session.
- Sessions shortened below 4 hours will not be refunded, and unused time cannot be moved to another day.
- Missed or cancelled sessions are forfeit and cannot be rescheduled.
7. Shopping Policy
Tidy Peaceful Homes offers Shopping Assistance as an add-on service to help clients source organizing products that suit their space, style, and budget.
To streamline this process and avoid reimbursement delays, we’ve outlined the following policies:
- Virtual Shopping Cart Assistance:
- Clients will receive a curated product list or shopping cart link based on their consultation.
- Clients are responsible for placing, paying for, and assembling all product orders unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- In-Store Shopping:
- Includes sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of products to the scheduled session.
- All purchases must be paid for in advance using one of the following methods:
- Store-specific gift cards (Target, The Container Store, etc.).
- Prepaid virtual or physical cards.
- Client-submitted online orders for in-store pickup (we will pick up).
- Payment in advance upon approval of product list.
- We do not accept reimbursements after purchases have been made unless explicitly agreed to in writing.
- Receipts and Documentation:
- Receipts will be provided to clients for all purchases made on their behalf.
- Product links or itemized lists will be shared prior to purchasing when possible.
- Returns & Exchanges:
- Clients are responsible for any returns or exchanges unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
- We are happy to assist with returns or store visits for an additional fee.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for the following:
- Being present and available to make decisions about their belongings unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Ensuring the service area is safe and accessible.
- Disclosing any safety concerns, including but not limited to: pests such as bed bugs, termites, mice, or cockroaches; mold; structural issues; or other hazards.
- Securing pets and supervising young children during service.
- Securing valuables, breakables, and sensitive documents prior to service.
- Purchasing, receiving, and assembling products from virtual shopping carts shared by Tidy Peaceful Homes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
9. Liability
We take great care in our work, but:
- We are not liable for damage or loss unless caused by our gross negligence.
- We are not responsible for issues arising from improperly installed or pre-existing storage systems or furniture.
- By participating in our services, you acknowledge that you are doing so voluntarily and at your own risk. Tidy Peaceful Homes does not
assume any liability for any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of following our advice or recommendations.
- Virtual sessions are not therapy, counseling, or a substitute for mental health treatment. We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and we encourage clients to seek support from a licensed professional for those needs.
10. Use of Photos
With your written or verbal consent, we may take “before and after” photos for marketing purposes (e.g., website or social media). Identifying information and personal items will not be visible or shared without your explicit permission.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on our Site, including text, photos, graphics, and organizational systems we develop, is the property of Tidy Peaceful Homes and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
12. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Any personal information you share with us is used solely for scheduling, communication, and service improvement. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if a client behaves inappropriately, breaches these Terms, or creates an unsafe or hostile environment.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
